Hi, I’m Antonia. Welcome to A Mum in Progress! I’m so pleased you’ve found me and I hope you’ll grab a cup of tea or coffee and stay around a while!
I help busy Mums (and some Dads too) simplify, organise and enjoy their homes and their lives.
I have a growing collection of blog posts, courses and free resources that you can use to help simplify, organise and enjoy your life and I’m always producing fresh, new content.
So, make sure you pop back regularly (with that cuppa in hand!) for information, inspiration and encouragement!
This site is for busy Mums, like you and I. We want to find the best way to juggle everything we HAVE to do and find time and space for the things that we WANT to do.
This quote by Annie Dillard says it all…
‘How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives.’
If you really think about what this means, do you want to spend your days:
Instead, do you want to:
But it’s not easy making changes and it’s difficult to know where to start, especially when you don’t have much spare time or energy.
Having tried to juggle a hectic work schedule with raising my family, I finally reached burn-out. This wasn’t what my life as a Mum was meant to look like and I needed to make some changes.
Through simplifying and organising every aspect of my home and my life, I’ve made things so much easier and simpler.
I can focus on the important things and let the rest go.
I’m Antonia. I have a crazy, complicated family that consists of my husband, my two little girls, my step-kids and my dog.
I work full time, manage this site, look after my kids and run my home so I’m familiar with the problems of being a busy Mum with loads to do! Click here to get to know me better!
Our kids span a large age gap and have varying needs and abilities, including one of whom is on the autistic spectrum. Every day is a new challenge!
My family isn’t perfect and I definitely don’t want you to think that we’re that perfect instagram family. We’re just a normal family and I’m a normal Mum. I love tea, animals, quiet time and I want to build my own house some day!
I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. As Mums we never stop learning and evolving. We are constantly having to adapt to the changing needs of our family, our home and ourselves.
We are a work in progress, a Mum in progress. Hence the name of this site.
But the changes I’ve made and the experience I’ve gained over the years in simplifying my life through Minimalism have had such a huge impact on myself and my family.
My passion is helping other busy Mums (and some Dads) do the same too.
This site is packed full of information, blog posts and resources which you can read and work through. I’ll explain how Minimalism and simplifying your life can make things so much easier and simpler for you in everyday life.
You’ll feel happier, less stressed and overwhelmed. You’ll start to enjoy your mum-life more, rather than be a slave to it and jump out of bed each morning ready to take on the world!
When you’re a busy Mum you don’t have much time to stop and think. Your time is probably filled to the closest nano-second with things to do, places to be and information to remember.
Rooting around this site and having the time to work out where you need to go and how to find the information you’re looking for, is probably not what you want to be doing (even if you did have the time).
That’s why I encourage you to read my Start Here page first.
Simplify Your Life is a completely free short course to help you start thinking about ways in which you can simplify your life.
By simplifying your life, minimalising and decluttering your home and then the rest of your life (including your calendar, commitments, finances and so much more) it can help you focus on what’s important by removing the stuff that isn’t.
You’ll receive an email from me straight into your inbox for 5 days. Each email will include information and sometimes a practical challenge for you to get stuck in!
Simplify your life and create more time, space and freedom for you to focus on what’s really important and learn to let the other things go.
